NS4168 is a mono Class-D audio power amplifier with I2S digital audio signal input and anti-clipping output. It integrates a DAC and a multi-stage Class-D modulator, delivering excellent audio performance. By transmitting audio to the amplifier via the NS4168 I2S digital audio serial interface, the impact of noise sources on the transmitted audio is significantly reduced. It also eliminates the noise introduced by the audio decoding DAC built into the MCU, ultimately achieving a high SNR and low distortion. Its closed-loop digital input design retains the advantages of digital amplifiers while providing outstanding PSRR and audio performance. Compared to other Class-D architectures, spread-spectrum pulse density modulation enables lower EMI and higher audio efficiency.

The NS4168 features a unique anti-clipping function that effectively prevents output signal distortion caused by input signal overload or battery voltage drops, while protecting the speaker from damage during high-power output.

The NS4168 is a mono audio power amplifier. Left/right channel selection can be configured via the CTRL pin logic level. Two chips can be used for stereo applications, offering great flexibility. The NS4168 integrates overcurrent protection, overtemperature protection, and undervoltage protection, effectively safeguarding the chip from damage under abnormal operating conditions.
