The HRXL-MaxSonar-WR sensor series is a cost-effective solution for applications requiring precise ranging, low-voltage operation, space savings, low cost, and IP67-rated weather resistance. This sensor series provides high-accuracy, high-resolution ultrasonic proximity detection and ranging in air. Key features include 1mm resolution, target size and operating voltage compensation for improved accuracy, excellent external noise source rejection, internal acoustic velocity temperature compensation, and optional external acoustic velocity temperature compensation. HRXL-MaxSonar-WR/WRC models are available in 1.5m, 5m, or 10m ranges. This ultrasonic sensor can detect objects at 1mm resolution, with a ranging distance from 30cm to maximum range. Objects closer than 30cm are typically reported as 30cm. Interface output formats include pulse width, analog voltage, and digital serial (RS232 or TTL).
