Descrizione
The MAX1606 is a boost DC-DC converter featuring an internal 0.5A power switch and a 0.5A output isolation switch, housed in an 8-pin μMAX package. This IC operates from a supply voltage range of 2.4V to 5.5V, yet can boost battery voltages as low as 0.8V up to 28V.
The MAX1606 uses a unique control scheme to deliver high efficiency across a wide range of load conditions. The internal 0.5A MOSFET reduces external component count, while the high switching frequency of up to 500kHz allows the use of small SMT components. The current limit is selectable at 500mA, 250mA, or 125mA, enabling users to reduce output ripple and component size in low-current applications.
Additional features include low quiescent supply current and a true shutdown mode that conserves power by disconnecting the output from the input. The MAX1606 is ideal for small LCD panels with low current requirements and is also suitable for other applications. A MAX1606 evaluation kit is available to help accelerate design time.
