The CLM2543 and CLM2543I are 12-bit, switched-capacitor, successive-approximation ADCs. Each device features three control input ports [chip select (), I/O clock, and address input (DATA INPUT)], designed to communicate with a host processor or peripheral serial port via a serial 3-state output. The device allows high-speed data transfer from the host.

In addition to high-speed conversion and general-purpose control functions, the device incorporates an on-chip 14-channel multiplexer capable of selecting any one of 11 inputs or any one of three internal self-test voltages. The sample-and-hold function is automatic. At the end of conversion, the end-of-conversion (EOC) output goes high to indicate conversion completion. The CLM2543 operates over a temperature range of TA = 0°C to 70°C. The CLM2543I operates over a temperature range of TA = -40°C to 85°C. The CLM2543M operates over a temperature range of TA = -55°C to 125°C.
