Lumileds Chip-on-Board (COB) LED series delivers complete illumination-grade solutions for high-performance lighting applications. The product line covers a wide lumen range, from below 400lm to over 10,000lm, spanning all major color temperatures, with a CRI greater than 97 at 2700K and 3000K, and R9 equal to 95. These breakthroughs enable lighting engineers and designers to develop lighting solutions with the highest efficiency, brightness, and overall quality. Lumileds COB LEDs are among the most reliable light sources in the world today. They have passed a series of rigorous environmental and mechanical stress tests, including mechanical shock, vibration, thermal cycling, and humidity testing. Only devices that pass these tests meet the requirements for use in a wide range of lighting applications, including some of the most demanding commercial applications. Lumileds COB LEDs provide complete qualified LM80 test data and TM21 lifetime test results, demonstrating lumen maintenance beyond 35,000 hours to meet the most challenging demands. Lumileds COB arrays are tested to ANSI/UL 8750 standards to ensure safe operation in intended applications. All LED products manufactured by Lumileds comply with REACh and RoHS standards and are free of hazardous substances including lead and mercury. Each Lumileds COB LED is marked with a 2D barcode containing a unique serial number. Using this serial number, Lumileds can provide customers with actual measured test data for a specific LED. In addition, the 2D barcode is linked to a date code for full traceability of the production process and materials. Lumileds COB products are measured at typical LED operating temperatures in luminaires. Each device is tested at a junction temperature of 85°C, eliminating the need to extrapolate datasheet specifications to real-world application conditions. Chromaticity binning ensures color consistency across each order. Standard products use 3-step MacAdam ellipse binning to ensure color performance matching in applications. For the most demanding applications, Lumileds is one of the few companies capable of offering 2-step ellipse binning. These tightly controlled, tight-distribution bins provide customers with predictable, repeatable color.
