Opis
CDV16 mica capacitors are ideal for snubber and RF applications, capable of handling dV/dt up to 275,000 V/μs while ensuring controlled, resonance-free performance up to 1 GHz. CDV16/CD16 mica capacitors excel in snubber applications and high-frequency applications such as RF and CATV. The high pulse current capability of CDV16 capacitors makes them particularly well-suited for pulse and snubber applications. CDV16 capacitors can withstand an unlimited number of pulses at a dV/dt of 275,000 V/μs. Compared to CDV19 mica capacitors, dV/dt capability is improved by 20%, while the CDV16 is smaller in size. CDV16 capacitors can handle higher peak currents up to 825 A. They also handle high continuous RMS currents at frequencies from 5 MHz to 30 MHz. For example, a 3000 pF CDV16 capacitor can continuously handle 6.2 A RMS at 13.56 MHz, at a cost of just one-quarter that of an equivalent ceramic capacitor. In addition to being ideal for snubber applications, the CDV16 is also suitable for RF applications. Its compact size and closer lead spacing improve insertion loss performance, with insertion loss data typically within ±0.2 dB, even at frequencies exceeding 1 GHz.
