For high-power commercial vehicle applications, individual fuse holders may be inefficient or leave fuse connections exposed to the environment. Sealed multi-fuse holders such as the MDB5 series MEGA and MIDI fuse distribution boxes may be a better and more cost-effective solution.

This five-way distribution box features a sealed enclosure design that protects fuse connections from the corrosive environments commonly found in battery compartments or engine bays. Additionally, cable seals or plugs can be added to achieve IP67 and IP69K protection ratings, effectively transforming the fuse holder into a dust-proof and waterproof fuse box suitable for the harshest environments.

The MDB5 series distribution box features dual configurable inputs for flexible use in both high-current and low-current applications, with a maximum continuous current rating of 400A. To meet the needs of standard voltage vehicles and 48V+ applications, the MDB5 series is available in configurations compatible with MEGA and MIDI bolt-in fuses rated for 32V or 70V.
