The Alvium 1800 C-510 features the Sony IMX548 and delivers 81.0 fps at 5.1 MP resolution. The powerful Alvium 1800 C MIPI CSI-2 camera series enables embedded system developers to leverage Sony's high-performance image sensors popular in the machine vision industry. These sensors, with resolutions up to 20 MP, deliver exceptional image quality and offer up to twice the frame rate compared to equivalent Alvium 1500 C models. To operate Alvium CSI-2 cameras on vision systems, Allied Vision provides several access modes: GenICam for CSI-2 access — direct camera control via GenICam features using the Alvium CSI-2 driver and CSI-2 transport layer (TL), currently supporting Alvium 1800 C-234, C-235, C-500, C-507, C-511, C-1236, and C-2050, with FAQs and installation instructions available in the Getting Started Guide of the GenICam for CSI-2 application note; advanced users can control the camera via registers through Direct Register Access (DRA); Video4Linux2 access enables camera control through the established V4L2 API as well as applications such as GStreamer and OpenCV, with open-source CSI-2 drivers for various boards and SoCs available on GitHub.
