TPS562231 is a simple, easy-to-use 2A synchronous buck converter in a SOT563 package. The device is optimized to minimize the external components required for operation and to achieve low standby current. These switch-mode power supply (SMPS) devices employ D-CAP3 mode control, which provides fast transient response while supporting both low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors such as high-polymer types and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors — without external compensation components. During light-load operation, the TPS562231 operates in pulse skip mode (PSM) to maintain high efficiency. The TPS562231 is available in a 6-pin 1.6mm × 1.6mm SOT563 (DRL) package and is rated for a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
