Honeywell Basic Board Mount Pressure Sensors, including the TBP series and NBP series, are designed for food-grade and non-food-grade potential medical and industrial applications. These unamplified piezoresistive silicon pressure sensors provide a ratiometric output; the TBP series is temperature compensated, while the NBP series is uncompensated. The TBP series is temperature compensated and unamplified — the compensation reduces the need for periodic system-level temperature calibration, making the sensors easier to integrate into systems, reducing part-to-part variation, and offering multiple pressure signal resolutions, with a compensation temperature range of 0°C to 85°C [-32°F to 185°F]. The NBP series is uncompensated and unamplified, making it typically the ideal choice for customers who wish to perform their own compensation, calibration, and amplification to take full advantage of the maximum resolution of the raw sensor output and utilize any algorithm required by the application; it also offers multiple pressure signal resolutions. These products are available in a variety of package styles and mounting options to facilitate integration into OEM applications. They are suitable for non-corrosive, non-ionic gases such as air and other dry gases, and when the gel coat option is selected, also for non-corrosive, non-ionic liquids.
