The Multilayer High-Speed MHS Series is a very low capacitance extension of the Littelfuse ML Series transient voltage surge suppression devices, offered in 0402 and 0603 surface mount chip sizes. The MHS Series provides ESD and EFT protection for high-speed data lines and other high-frequency applications. The low capacitance of the MHS Series allows it to be used in analog or digital circuits without attenuating or distorting the desired signal or data. Its small size is ideal for high-density PCBs, commonly used to protect ICs and other sensitive components. They are particularly suitable for suppressing ESD events as specified in IEC 61000-4-2 or other EMC test standards. The MHS Series is manufactured from semiconducting ceramics and uses a leadless surface mount package. The MHS Series is also compatible with modern reflow and wave soldering processes.
