SEMTECH GX4002-INE3

GX4002 is a low-power, high-speed 2×2 crosspoint switch with integrated robust signal conditioning circuitry for driving and receiving high-speed signals across backplanes. The device power consumption can be as low as 600mW (typical) with all channels active. Unused sections of the device can be powered down to further reduce power consumption. The GX4002 signal conditioning features include per-channel clock and data recovery, programmable equalization, and programmable de-emphasis on each output. The input equalizer opens the input data eye to eliminate ISI jitter, which is typically caused by PCB trace loss, making it suitable for applications using long PCB traces. The integrated CDR "resets" the jitter budget, effectively eliminating signal distortion that may occur during transmission. Output pre-emphasis capability boosts the high-frequency components of the output signal, keeping the data eye open after long interconnects through PCB traces and connectors. The GX4002 integrates an ADC that provides digital diagnostic information on supply voltage and die temperature via a serial interface. The device is housed in a compact 5mm×5mm 32-pin high-frequency QFN package with an exposed pad. The GX4002 is a lead-free product with package materials free of halogenated flame retardants. The component and all of its homogeneous sub-components are RoHS compliant.
