The TPS382x series monitors are primarily designed to provide circuit initialization and timing supervision functions for DSP and processor-based systems. During power-up, RESET is asserted when the supply voltage VDD exceeds 1.1V. As long as VDD remains below the threshold voltage VIT-, the supply voltage monitor will monitor VDD and hold RESET active-low. An internal timer delays the output from returning to its inactive state (high) to ensure proper system reset. The delay time td begins after VDD rises above the threshold voltage (VIT- + VHYS). When the supply voltage drops below the threshold voltage VIT-, the output returns to its active state (low). No external components are required. All devices in this series have a fixed detection threshold voltage VIT- set by an internal voltage divider. The TPS382x series also offers watchdog timeout options of 200ms (TPS3820) and 1.6s (TPS3823, TPS3824, and TPS3828).
