Description
An 8-pin Hot Swap negative voltage controller that allows circuit boards to be safely inserted or removed from a live backplane. Surge current is limited to a set value by controlling the gate voltage of an external N-channel pass transistor. The pass transistor turns off if the input voltage falls below the configured undervoltage threshold or exceeds the overvoltage threshold. A configurable electronic circuit breaker protects the system against short circuits. The PWRGD signal can be used to directly enable a power module.
