MICROCHIP LDTS14

The LDTS series is designed for automotive and vehicle applications where additional protection may be required against load dump and alternator field decay transients. This protection becomes necessary when the battery is disconnected while the engine and alternator are still running. Such conditions generate sustained severe transients that require consideration of additional factors beyond the ratings of conventional TVS components when designing transient voltage suppressors.

• Unidirectional TVS series for DC power supply applications
• Low clamping ratio
• Working voltage (VWM) range: 14V to 48V
• Hermetic TO-3 package
• Low thermal resistance
• Capable of dissipating heat from long-duration transients
• Consult manufacturer for other package options (including surface mount)
