Opis
This device is a single-channel differential amplifier designed to drive high-power power line communication signals. It contains a pair of wideband amplifiers fabricated using a high-voltage 15 V bipolar silicon-on-insulator process to achieve high power output with low power consumption. The line driver gain is set externally. The device can be powered by a single high-voltage supply or dual supplies. It can be programmed to one of three preset bias levels to optimize power consumption and performance. Additionally, the line driver features a shutdown state that forces the device into a low-power, high-impedance mode for receive transmission or idle operation. The control pin responses are compatible with input levels generated by standard GPIO but can tolerate higher-voltage logic levels. The device is available in a 16-pin (4 mm × 4 mm) QFN package with an exposed pad for enhanced thermal dissipation.
