The FP series incorporates a special material between the nickel barrier layer and the ceramic body, providing excellent resistance to bending stress during processing and enhanced safety for PCB assembly. The nickel barrier termination consists of a nickel barrier layer plated over the silver metallization, followed by an electroplated solder layer to ensure good solderability. The nickel barrier in the termination prevents dissolution caused by prolonged immersion of the termination in molten solder during high-temperature soldering.
