The MICRO SWITCH BX/BX2 Series is designed for use in hazardous or explosive environments, and this rugged switch can be used virtually anywhere in the world. To meet explosion-proof switch requirements, the flame path within the switch enclosure is designed to contain and cool escaping hot gases and vapors that could cause an explosion outside the switch. The BX and BX2 Series carry global agency certifications regardless of where the equipment or machinery is designed, manufactured, or installed. Honeywell offers two versions of the BX Series switch: the standard BX Series features an aluminum enclosure, while the BX2 Series features a 316L stainless steel enclosure. The stainless steel enclosure provides superior corrosion resistance in applications exposed to aggressive, corrosive media, as well as in chemical processing plants, offshore/onshore locations, and other hazardous areas. Both products feature a watertight seal design suitable for outdoor use and are specifically designed for explosive gas/dust environments. All actuator heads in the BX/BX2 Series can be adjusted in the field in 90° increments.
