Whisper Blocks are long-range wireless sensors available in multiple I/O and power configurations. These sensor modules use proprietary long-range wireless communication technology to ensure reliable and stable operation. They are available in various configurations with multiple external channels for analog and digital inputs. This external sensor is designed for use with a Whisker.Block configured with an external thermistor (TR) input. When properly installed, the sensor can detect temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C. The thermistor is enclosed in an 8 cm stainless steel housing suitable for use in air, food, and most liquids. It is available with 15 cm and 91 cm cable options. Additional temperature probe configurations are available for various applications. WBP-TR-02-xx is the 13 cm version of this probe, WBP-TR-03-xx is designed for installation in HVAC ducts, and WBP-TR-04-xx is a lug-mount probe suitable for use with equipment such as motors. The sensor is powered by the Whisker.Block. The sensor is housed in a 6.4 mm diameter, 13 cm long stainless steel tube, fitted with a 6.4 mm NPT compression fitting for mounting the probe in tanks, pipes, or any surface with an appropriately sized opening. During installation, ensure that the lower half of the tube is fully submerged in the monitored medium. Take care not to crush or otherwise damage the stainless steel tube, as this may adversely affect normal operation or reduce the sensor's service life.
