SPOC - BTS5460SF is a four-channel high-side smart power switch in a PG-DSO-36-43 package with integrated protection features. It is specifically designed to control standard exterior lighting in automotive applications. To allow the use of identical hardware, the device can be configured for channels 2 and 3 in bulb or LED mode, optimizing switching and diagnostic performance for both load types. It is particularly designed to drive external lamps and HIDL with power ratings up to 65W, 27W, and 10W. Configuration and status diagnostics are performed via SPI, which supports daisy-chain connection. The device provides a current sense signal for each channel, multiplexed to the diagnostic pin IS, which can be enabled and disabled via SPI commands. Overload and over-temperature flags are provided in the SPI diagnostic word. A multiplexed switch bypass monitor enables diagnosis of short circuits to VBB. In the off state, a current source can be switched to the output of a selected channel to detect open-load conditions. The SPOC - BTS5460SF provides a fail-safe function via a limp-home input pin. The power transistors are implemented as N-channel vertical power MOSFETs with a charge pump.
