개요
Si3473 and Si3472 are fully programmable 50 V to 57 V Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) controllers for IEEE 802.3bt 2-pair Type 3 applications. As 2-pair Type 3 PSE controllers, the Si3473/72 are compatible with IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at Powered Device (PD) loads. Designed for both endpoint (switch) and midspan (injector) PSE applications, the Si3473/72 integrate 8 (Si3473) or 4 (Si3472) independent ports, each with IEEE-required detection and classification functionality. Additional features include DC-based PD disconnect algorithms, robust multi-point detection algorithms, software-configurable per-port current and voltage monitoring, and programmable current limiting to support IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 2-pair 802.3bt standards. Intelligent power protection circuitry includes input undervoltage detection, output power limiting, and short-circuit protection. The Si3473/72 can operate autonomously or be controlled by a host processor via a 2-wire I²C-compatible serial interface. An interrupt pin alerts the host processor to various status and fault events.
