Descrizione
The LM21215A is a synchronous step-down DC/DC converter that can provide an output current of up to 15A at an output voltage as low as 0.6V. The LM21215A operates with ultra-high efficiency over an input voltage range of 2.95V to 5.5V, making it suitable for various low-voltage systems. The voltage-mode control loop features a high-gain bandwidth error amplifier, offering high noise immunity, low duty cycle capability, and can be easily compensated for stable operation with any type of output capacitor, thus providing maximum flexibility and ease of use. The LM21215A has internal overvoltage protection (OVP) and cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection (OCP) to improve system reliability. The precision enable pin and integrated UVLO support strict control and sequencing of the device turn-on. In-rush current at startup is limited by an internal fixed or externally adjustable soft-start circuit. An integrated open-drain PGOOD indicator provides fault reporting and power sequencing. Other features include auxiliary voltage rail tracking, monotonic startup to a pre-biased load, and synchronization of the switching frequency to an external clock signal in the range of 300kHz to 1.5MHz, suitable for beat-frequency sensitive and multi-regulator applications. The LM21215A comes in a thermally enhanced 20-pin HTSSOP package with an exposed pad that is soldered to the PCB for extremely low junction-to-board thermal resistance.
