Descrizione
PSoC™ 4 is a scalable and reconfigurable platform architecture for a range of programmable embedded system controllers based on the Arm® Cortex®-M0+ CPU and compliant with the AEC-Q100 standard. It integrates programmable and reconfigurable analog and digital blocks with flexible auto-routing capabilities. The PSoC™ 4100S family is a member of the PSoC™ 4 platform architecture, combining a microcontroller with standard communication and timing peripherals, an industry-leading capacitive touch sensing system (CAPSENSE™), programmable general-purpose continuous-time and switched-capacitor analog blocks, and programmable connectivity. PSoC™ 4100S devices are upward compatible with other members of the PSoC™ 4 platform to address new application and design requirements.

- 32-bit MCU subsystem: 48-MHz Arm® Cortex®-M0+ CPU, up to 64 KB flash with read accelerator, up to 8 KB SRAM
- Programmable analog: two opamps with reconfigurable high-drive external and high-bandwidth internal drive, comparator mode, and ADC input buffering; opamps operational in Deep Sleep low-power mode; 12-bit 1-Msps SAR ADC with differential and single-ended modes and channel sequencer with signal averaging; single-slope 10-bit ADC functionality via capacitive sensing block; two current DACs (IDACs) for general-purpose or capacitive sensing on any pin; two low-power comparators operational in Deep Sleep low-power mode
- Programmable digital: programmable logic block enabling Boolean operations on port inputs and outputs
- Low-power 1.71-V to 5.5-V operation: Deep Sleep mode with analog active, digital system current 2.5-µA
- Capacitive sensing: capacitive Σ-Δ (CSD) with industry-leading SNR (>5:1) and liquid tolerance; Infineon-provided software components simplify capacitive sensing design; automatic hardware tuning (SmartSense)
- LCD drive capability: LCD segment drive on GPIO
- Serial communication: three independent runtime-reconfigurable serial communication blocks (SCBs) with reconfigurable I2C, SPI, UART, or LIN slave functionality
- Timing and PWM: five 16-bit timer/counter/PWM (TCPWM) blocks; center-aligned, edge, and pseudo-random modes; comparator-based Kill signal triggering for motor drive and other high-reliability digital logic applications
- Programmable GPIO: 40-pin QFN and 28-pin SSOP packages; any GPIO pin configurable as CAPSENSE™, analog, or digital; drive mode, strength, and slew rate programmable
- PSoC™ Creator design environment: IDE with schematic design entry and build (with analog and digital autorouting); API components for all fixed-function and programmable peripherals
- Industry-standard tool compatibility: post-schematic entry development using Arm®-based industry-standard development tools
- Temperature range: Grade A: –40°C to +85°C; Grade S: –40°C to +105°C; Grade E: –40°C to +125°C
