In this topology, the IC samples the inductor current internally and utilizes an internal error amplifier to form a closed-loop feedback network, achieving high constant-current accuracy and high input/output regulation. The IC also features integrated PFC control, automatically maintaining a high power factor across the full voltage range. Critical conduction mode reduces switching losses and improves system conversion efficiency.

SD6900 integrates multiple protection functions, including output open-circuit protection, output short-circuit protection, cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, and VCC overvoltage protection.

SD6900 features ultra-low startup current and operating current, enabling efficient driving of high-brightness LEDs across the full input voltage range (85VAC–265VAC).
