TE Connectivity (TE)'s FX29 is a compact compression load cell that delivers exceptional value in a rugged sensor package. It is optimized for embedded force-sensing applications ranging from single-use medical devices to durable appliances and fitness equipment. The FX29 offers millivolt, amplified, and digital output options for design flexibility. Utilizing high-reliability MicroFused technology, the FX29 covers force ranges from 10 lbf to 200 lbf (50 N to 1000 N). MicroFused technology provides excellent span and zero stability, superior cycle life, high resolution, high overload capability, and an unamplified span sensitivity of 20 mV/V. The FX29 features a two-piece stainless steel construction. The combination of metal injection molded flexures and miniature MEMS strain gauges delivers force range flexibility for a low-cost sensor. Compared to previous load cell designs, these improvements give the FX29 more precise dimensional control and better overall performance.
