The DRV5021 is a low-voltage digital switch Hall-effect sensor designed for high-speed applications. The device operates from a 2.5V to 5.5V supply, detects magnetic flux density, and provides a digital output based on predefined magnetic thresholds. The device detects magnetic fields perpendicular to the package face. When the applied magnetic flux density exceeds the magnetic operate point B_OP threshold, the open-drain output of the device is driven low. When the magnetic flux density falls below the magnetic release point (B_RP) threshold, the output returns to high impedance. The hysteresis created by the separation between B_OP and B_RP helps prevent output errors caused by input noise, enabling more robust system designs against noise interference. The device maintains stable, high performance across a wide ambient temperature range of -40℃ to +125℃.
