Descrizione
This is an 8-bit parallel-output serial shift register with AND-gated serial (A and B) inputs and an asynchronous clear (CLR) input. The gated serial inputs provide control over input data: when either input is low, new data entry is inhibited and the first flip-flop is reset low on the next clock pulse. A high-level input enables the other input, which then determines the state of the first flip-flop. Serial input data may change while the clock is either high or low, provided minimum setup time requirements are met. The clock (CLK) input triggers on the low-to-high transition. All inputs are clamped with diodes to minimize transmission line effects. The SN74ALS164A operates over a temperature range of 0℃ to 70℃.
