The ATGBICS compatible J8177A-C 10/100/1000BASE-T copper SFP transceiver is a high-performance, cost-effective module compliant with IEEE 802.3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab Gigabit Ethernet and 10/100/1000BASE-T standards. It supports data transmission at 10/100/1000Mbps over Category 5 UTP cable with a reach of up to 100 meters. The J8177A-C supports 10/100/1000Mbps full-duplex data links using 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) signaling. All four pairs in the cable are utilized, with a symbol rate of 250Mbps per pair. The J8177A-C provides SFP MSA-compliant standard serial ID information, accessible via a 2-wire serial CMOS EEPROM protocol at address A0h. The PHY IC is also accessible via the 2-wire serial bus at address ACh.
