The TPS25925x/6x series electronic fuses are highly integrated circuit protection and power management solutions in a small package. These devices use very few external components and offer multiple protection modes. They can effectively prevent overloads, short circuits, voltage surges, excessive inrush currents, and reverse currents. The current limit level can be set via a single external resistor, with a typical accuracy of ±15% for the set current limit. The internal clamping circuit can limit overvoltage to a safe fixed maximum without the need for external components. The TPS25926x devices provide overvoltage protection (OVP) for 12V systems, while the TPS25925x devices provide overvoltage protection for 5V systems. In cases where specific voltage ramp requirements exist, a single capacitor can be used to program the provided dV/dT pin to ensure an appropriate output slope.
