Introduction
The PESDHC2FD4V8UF ESD protection device is designed to replace multilayer varistors (MLVs) in portable device applications such as mobile phones, laptops, and PDAs. It features a large cross-section junction capable of conducting high transient currents, providing ideal electrical characteristics for board-level protection, including fast response time, low working voltage, low clamping voltage, and no device aging issues compared to MLVs. The PESDHC2FD4V8UF protects sensitive semiconductor components from damage or malfunction caused by ESD and other voltage-induced transient events. The PESDHC2FD4V8UF is housed in a DFN1006-2L package with a working voltage of 4.8V. It offers designers the flexibility to protect a single unidirectional line in applications where an array is not suitable. Additionally, in space-constrained applications, it can be distributed around the PCB in a "distributed" layout.
