Introduction
The RN8302B provides full-wave and fundamental active, reactive, and apparent energy and power, supports reactive four-quadrant detection, features creep start functionality, adjustable meter constant, fast pulse counting, and pulse output. It measures full-wave and fundamental power, RMS voltage and current, power factor, line frequency, and phase angle, with zero-crossing detection, phase sequence error detection, and voltage loss indication. Anti-tamper functionality and multiple low-power modes are supported. Software calibration is supported for three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire configurations. Powered by a single +3.3V supply with power monitoring, built-in 1.25V ADC reference voltage, high-speed SPI interface, and interrupt output pin. Operating voltage range: 3.0V–3.6V; operating temperature range: -40℃–85℃. Available in LQFP44 green package, compliant with EU RoHS directive. The chip supports four operating modes: metering mode, total voltage loss mode 1, total voltage loss mode 2, and sleep mode. Mode switching is performed via SPI commands, and the default mode after power-on reset is configurable via the PM pin.
