Introduction
UMW 6N135/6N136 optocouplers consist of an 850nm AlGaAs LED optically coupled to a high-speed photodetector transistor. The photodiode bias is independently connected, reducing the base-collector capacitance of the input transistor, resulting in speeds several orders of magnitude faster than conventional phototransistor optocouplers. The device is available in an 8-pin DIP package, with wide-lead-spacing and surface-mount options.
