Introduction
These products are miniaturized receivers for infrared remote control systems. The PIN diode and preamplifier are assembled on a leadframe, with an infrared filter integrated in the epoxy package. The demodulated output signal can be directly connected to a microprocessor for decoding. The TSOP323.. and TSOP343.. series are optimized to suppress almost all spurious pulses from energy-saving light sources such as compact fluorescent lamps. With continuous transmission, AGC3 may also suppress some data signals. The TSOP321.. and TSOP341.. series are primarily intended for backward compatibility with legacy AGC1 designs. New designs should preferably use the TSOP323.. and TSOP343.. series, which incorporate the newer AGC3. The TSOP325.. and TSOP345.. series feature a highly robust AGC5, intended for use only in severely noisy environments. These components are not qualified to automotive specifications.
