The SSF215 series float switches are externally mounted horizontal switches. This series features an extended stem length, providing a solution for thicker tank walls or installation on a welded 1/2" NPT pipe fitting. The 1/2" NPT thread allows the switch to be installed through the tank wall from the outside, eliminating the need to enter the tank. By rotating the switch 180°, the float switch can achieve either normally open (closes on rise) or normally closed (closes on fall) switching action. Tightening torque should be sufficient to ensure a proper seal.
