Introduction
The KEMET SC-J series coils are common mode choke coils with a variety of characteristics. These toroidal coils are designed with the company's proprietary ferrite core and are suitable for various noise suppression applications. To achieve the most effective noise reduction, it is important to select the material based on the target frequency band. Specific ferrite materials are effective within particular frequency bands according to their permeability. Materials with higher permeability are effective in lower frequency ranges, while materials with lower permeability are effective in higher frequency ranges. Therefore, Mn-Zn products are primarily used to reduce conducted noise, while Ni-Zn products are typically used for radiated noise suppression.
