Introduction
The Broadcom HCNR200/201 high-linearity analog optocoupler consists of a high-performance AlGaAs LED and two closely matched photodiodes. The input photodiode monitors the LED's light output to stabilize it, thereby virtually eliminating the LED's nonlinearity and drift characteristics. The output photodiode generates a photocurrent that is linearly proportional to the LED's light output. The close matching of the photodiodes and the advanced package design ensure high linearity and stable gain characteristics of the optocoupler.
The HCNR200/201 is suitable for isolating analog signals in a wide range of applications requiring good stability, linearity, bandwidth, and low cost. With flexible application circuit design, the HCNR200/201 can operate in a variety of modes, including unipolar/bipolar, AC/DC, and inverting/non-inverting. The HCNR200/201 is an excellent solution for many analog isolation challenges.
