Introduction
Each OP123 and OP124 device is a 935 nanometer (nm) high-intensity GaAs infrared LED, housed in a miniature hermetic "pill" package with an extended temperature range and high power output. These devices are designed for direct mounting onto printed circuit boards. Each OP223 and OP224 device is an 890 nm GaAlAs infrared LED, housed in a hermetic "pill" package with an extended temperature range and narrow irradiance pattern to provide high on-axis intensity for excellent coupling efficiency. Compared to GaAs at equivalent drive current, these devices deliver significantly higher power output, and their wavelength matches the peak response of silicon. Their small package size allows high-density mounting. All of these LEDs are mechanically and spectrally matched to the OP300 series, OP600 series, and OP640 series devices.
