Introduction
The TPS3860×0 series power supply monitors (SVS) can monitor 4 power rails above 0.4V and 1 power rail below 0.4V (including negative voltages) with a threshold accuracy of 0.25% (typical). Each of the 4 monitoring circuits (SVS-n) asserts a RESETn or RESETn output signal when the SENSEm input voltage falls below the programmed threshold. The threshold of each SVS-n can be programmed using external resistors (where n = 1, 2, 3, 4 and m = 1, 2, 3, 4L, 4H).
Each SVS-n features a programmable delay before releasing RESETn or RESETn. The delay time for each SVS can be set independently via the CTn pin connections, with a configurable range of 1.4ms to 10s. Only SVS-1 has an active-low manual reset (MR) input; when MR receives a logic-low input, RESET1 or RESET1 is asserted.
SVS-4 uses two comparators to monitor a threshold window. The additional comparator can be configured as a fifth SVS to monitor negative voltages via the voltage reference output VREF.
The TPS3860×0 features an ultra-low quiescent current of 11μA (typical) and is available in a compact 4mm x 4mm VQFN-20 package.
