Introduction
The TLC5948 is a 16-channel, constant-sink current absorption LED driver. Each channel features an independently adjustable, pulse-width modulation (PWM) grayscale (GS) brightness control with 65,536 steps and a 128-step constant current dot correction (DC). DC adjusts the brightness deviation between channels. All channels have a 128-step global brightness control (BC). BC adjusts the brightness deviation from other LED drivers. The GS, DC, and BC data can be accessed via a serial interface port. The TLC5948 has six error signals: LED open detection (LOD), LED short detection (LSD), output leakage detection (OLD), reference current terminal short flag detection (ISF), preheat warning (PTW), and thermal error flag (TEF). The error detection results can be read using a serial interface port.

- Enhanced spectrum or conventional PWM grayscale control (GS): 16-bit (65,536 steps)

- Constant current accuracy — channel-to-channel: ±0.6% (typical), ±2% (maximum); device-to-device: ±1% (typical), ±4% (maximum)
