UMW MAX485ESA(UMW)

UMW MAX485 is a low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communications. The IC contains one driver and one receiver. The MAX485 driver slew rate is not limited, allowing data transmission rates up to 2.5Mbps. When the driver is disabled with no load or full load, the supply current of these transceivers ranges from 120μA to 500μA. All devices operate from a single 5V supply. The driver features short-circuit current limiting and is protected against excessive power dissipation by a thermal shutdown circuit that forces the driver outputs into a high-impedance state. The receiver inputs include a fail-safe feature that guarantees a logic-high output if the inputs are open-circuited. The MAX485 is designed for half-duplex applications.
