Introduction
The ADCMP396 is a quad rail-to-rail input, low-power comparator for general-purpose applications. The device operates from a 2.3 V to 5.5 V supply with ultralow power consumption, drawing only 41.61 μA of supply current. Its low-voltage and low-current operation makes it well suited for battery-powered systems. The common-mode input voltage range extends 200 mV above the supply rail, with a typical offset voltage of 1 mV across the full common-mode voltage range, and an integrated UVLO monitor. In addition, the comparator is designed to ensure a defined output state at power-up. If the supply voltage falls below the UVLO threshold, the comparator drives the output low. The ADCMP396 integrates a 1 V ±0.9% buffered reference voltage. The reference output can be connected directly to a comparator input as a precision trip point for monitoring and detecting positive voltages. It can also be used as an offset when monitoring negative voltages. The ADCMP396 is available in a 16-lead narrow-body SOIC package, rated for the −40°C to +125°C extended temperature range.
