Introduction
The AD8253 is a digitally programmable gain instrumentation amplifier featuring GΩ input impedance, low output noise, and low distortion, making it ideal for sensor interfacing and driving high-sample-rate ADCs. The AD8253 offers 10 MHz bandwidth, −110 dB THD, and a fast settling time of 780 ns to 0.001% accuracy (maximum). At a gain of 1000, offset voltage drift and gain drift are 1.2 μV/°C and 10 ppm/°C, respectively. In addition to a wide input common-mode voltage range, the device provides 100 dB CMRR at a gain of 1000 from DC to 20 kHz. The combination of precision DC performance and high-speed capability makes the AD8253 well suited for data acquisition applications. Furthermore, this single-chip solution simplifies design and manufacturing while improving instrumentation performance through tight internal resistor and amplifier matching. The AD8253 is available in a 10-lead MSOP package, rated for a temperature range of −40°C to +85°C, making it particularly suitable for applications with stringent size and package density requirements.
