Introduction
The UCC27324 is a power switch driver. It features matched rise and fall times when charging and discharging the gates of power switches. The UCC27324 exhibits high latch immunity under any conditions within its rated power and voltage range. When noise spikes of up to 5V (either polarity) appear on the ground pin, the UCC27324 will not be damaged. The UCC27324 can accept up to 500mA of reverse current forced back into its outputs without damage or logic upset. All terminals are fully protected against up to 2.0 kV electrostatic discharge (ESD). The UCC27324 is available in an SOIC8 package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
The UCC27324 is an ultra-high-speed, high-current power gate driver with matched rise and fall times when charging and discharging the gates of power switches. The UCC27324 features two independent signal input ports for receiving control signals from the host controller without mutual interference. These two ports are designed with high reliability — even with 500mA of reverse current forced back into the outputs, no damage or logic upset will occur. The signal input ports also support direct handling of voltages down to -10V, ensuring safe operation under large noise waveforms and enhancing device stability.
The UCC27324 outputs are non-inverting with respect to the inputs and can be used to drive either P-type or N-type MOSFETs. Each output port delivers peak source or sink currents of 4A, making its high-speed, high-current characteristics well suited for driving MOSFETs in high-frequency applications.
