Broadcom ASSR-1411-001E

The Broadcom ASSR-14XX series consists of an AlGaAs infrared LED input stage optically coupled to a high-voltage output detection circuit. The detector incorporates a high-speed photovoltaic diode array and a driver circuit for switching two discrete high-voltage MOSFETs. The relay turns on (contacts close) when a minimum of 3 mA flows through the input LED. The relay turns off (contacts open) when the input voltage is 0.8V or lower. The single-channel configurations ASSR-1410 and ASSR-1411 are equivalent to one Form A electromechanical relay, while the dual-channel configuration ASSR-1420 is equivalent to two Form A electromechanical relays. They are available in 4-pin SO, 6-pin DIP, 8-pin DIP, and gull-wing surface-mount versions of the DIP package. Their electrical and switching characteristics are specified over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. They are intended for general-purpose switching of signal and low-power AC/DC loads. The ASSR-1411 supports both AC/DC and DC-only output connections. For DC-only connections, the output current IO increases to 1.2A and the on-resistance R(ON) decreases to 0.5Ω. Standard ESD precautions are recommended during handling and assembly of these components to prevent potential damage and/or performance degradation caused by ESD.
