T0-5 and TO-100 type sockets feature a fully molded compact construction for faster transistor assembly, with ultra-high-quality, closed-entry, sleeve-type contacts that accept pins of 0.016 (0.41) to 0.020 (0.51) in diameter or 0.010 (0.25) × 0.018 (0.46) rectangular transistor pins. "Mini" halogen lamp sockets accept pins of 0.022 (0.032) to 0.032 (0.81) in diameter, with wrap pins that bend easily for multiple positioning options. The molded barrier insulators of power transistor mounting bases functionally replace up to six conventional insulating materials previously required for power transistor installation, with built-in barriers eliminating the need for sleeving of connections. TO-3 type sockets assemble easily onto PCBs without wiring; stops on the PC terminals provide adequate clearance between the socket and PC board for proper transistor assembly into the socket, and can be securely screwed to a heat sink. The nylon TO-3 housing cover, molded from nylon, installs easily over power transistors for insulation purposes and withstands temperatures of approximately 250°F (107°C).
