Introduction
TC4431/4432 are high-current buffers/drivers capable of driving large MOSFETs and IGBTs. The TC4431/4432 feature matched output rise and fall times, as well as matched leading-edge and trailing-edge propagation delay times. The TC4431/4432 also exhibit very low cross-conduction current, reducing overall device power dissipation.
These devices are essentially immune to all forms of interference except direct overvoltage or overdissipation. Under any conditions within their power and voltage ratings, they will not latch up. When ground bounce of up to 5V occurs at the ground terminal, these devices will not be damaged or malfunction. They can withstand induced currents of either polarity exceeding 1A forced back into their outputs without damage or logic upset. In addition, all terminals are protected against ESD up to 4kV. The TC4431/4432 inputs can be driven directly by TTL or CMOS (3V to 25V). Furthermore, the inputs incorporate 300mV of built-in hysteresis, providing noise immunity and allowing the devices to be driven by slowly rising or falling waveforms. With both SMT and through-hole packages and a wide operating temperature range, the 2A MOSFET driver TC4431/4432 series is suitable for most applications requiring high gate/line capacitance drive capability.
