The LM4890 audio power amplifier is primarily designed for demanding mobile phone and other portable communication device applications. It is capable of delivering 0.5W of continuous average power into an 8Ω BTL load from a 5V DC supply with less than 1% distortion (THD+N). The Boomer audio power amplifier is designed to provide high-quality output power with a minimum number of external components. The LM4890 requires no output coupling capacitors or bootstrap capacitors, making it ideally suited for mobile phones and other low-voltage applications where minimum power consumption is a primary requirement. The LM4890 features a low-power shutdown mode, which is activated by driving the shutdown pin logic low. The LM4890 incorporates advanced pop & click suppression circuitry, eliminating noise that would otherwise occur during power-on and power-off transitions. The LM4890 is unity-gain stable and can be configured via external gain-setting resistors.
