Introduction
The LM5066 provides robust protection and precise monitoring capabilities for systems ranging from 10V to 80V. UV, OV, and ILIMIT can be programmed, and fast short-circuit protection can be customized for any application. Programmable FET SOA protection sets the maximum allowable power for the FET under any condition. Set the programmable fault timer (tFAULT) to avoid false operations, ensure normal startup, and limit the duration of overload events. In addition to circuit protection, the LM5066 can also provide real-time power, voltage, current, temperature, and fault data to the system management host via the I2C/SMBus interface. The device can be easily programmed using the PMBus-compliant command structure. Intelligent power management functions such as efficiency optimization and early fault detection can be achieved with precise telemetry. The LM5066 also supports advanced functions such as I/V/P average power and peak power measurement to enhance system diagnostic capabilities. The LM5066I is pin-to-pin compatible with the LM5066, improves telemetry accuracy, and supports monitoring of electrical energy via the Read_Ein command.
