Introduction
Four-channel LED driver control dedicated IC. The chip integrates an intelligent digital interface with data latch, signal reshaping, amplification and drive circuits, a high-precision internal oscillator, a 20V high-voltage programmable constant-current output driver, and a high-precision constant-current control module, effectively ensuring high color consistency of pixel light on the driver circuit. The data protocol uses single-wire return-to-zero (RZ) communication. After power-on reset, the DIN pin receives data transmitted from the controller. The first 32-bit data packet is extracted by the first chip and stored in the internal data latch; the remaining data is reshaped and amplified by the internal reshaping circuit, then forwarded via the DO pin to the next cascaded pixel. With each pixel transmission, the signal is reduced by 32 bits. The chip employs automatic reshaping and forwarding technology, so the number of cascaded pixels is not limited by signal transmission integrity — only by signal transmission speed requirements. Based on the received 32-bit data, the internal data latch generates PWM signals with different duty cycles on the OUTR, OUTG, OUTB, and OUTW control outputs. When a RESET signal is received at the DIN pin, all chips simultaneously transfer the received data to their respective segments. The chip will begin accepting new data after the RESET signal ends. After receiving the initial 32-bit data, subsequent data is forwarded via the DO pin. Before a RESET code is received, the output states of the OUTR, OUTG, OUTB, and OUTW pins remain unchanged. Upon receiving a low-level RESET code of 280μs or longer, the chip outputs the previously received 32-bit PWM data pulse widths to the OUTR, OUTG, OUTB, and OUTW pins.
Features
- R, G, B, W output ports rated at 20V; DIN port rated at 9V.
- Built-in voltage regulator; for power supplies of 24V or below, only a series resistor to the IC VDD pin is required — no external voltage regulator needed.
- Built-in signal reshaping circuit: each pixel reshapes the received waveform before forwarding, preventing cumulative waveform distortion along the line.
- Built-in power-on reset and brown-out reset circuits.
- PWM control supports 256-level dimming with a scan frequency of 2KHz.
- Serial cascade interface — data reception and decoding via a single signal line.
- No additional circuitry required for point-to-point transmission distances up to 2 meters.
- Highly consistent color output with excellent cost performance.
- At a refresh rate of 30 fps, cascade count supports no fewer than 1024 pixels.
- Data transmission speed up to 800Kbps.
Applications
- LED full-color luminous letter light strings
- LED full-color flexible/rigid LED strips
- LED guardrail tubes
- LED point light sources
- LED pixel screens
- LED custom-shaped screens
