Introduction
The MAX809 is a voltage detector IC designed for power supply voltage monitoring in digital systems, operating across the industrial-grade standard temperature range. The MAX809 generates a reset signal that asserts low when the system supply voltage drops below the threshold, and deasserts high at least 140ms after the supply voltage recovers above the threshold. The MAX809 series supports any customer-specified detection voltage. Seven standard industrial voltage monitoring thresholds are currently available, covering four supply voltage classes: 5.0V, 3.3V, 3.0V, and 2.5V. The MAX809 features a push-pull output stage that drives the reset output high when the monitored voltage exceeds the threshold. Fast power supply transients, glitches, and noise are filtered out to prevent false triggering, while normal output logic and all performance specifications are guaranteed even with supply voltages as low as 1.0V. The MAX809 is available in a compact 3-pin SOT-23 package.
